Pandora, the Danish-founded jewelry brand, runs a confirmed global affiliate program through Rakuten Advertising — but no confirmed Danish or Nordic program exists, and the exact commission rate (third-party sources cite 2-10%) could not be confirmed directly on Pandora's or Rakuten's own page.
Pandora, the Danish-founded jewelry brand, runs a confirmed global affiliate program through the network Rakuten Advertising — but research for this article found no confirmed Danish or Nordic affiliate program for Pandora, via either Adtraction or Partner-ads, the two networks that have covered every other Danish retailer program in the Academy's coverage of affiliate influencer marketing in Denmark so far. The exact commission rate could not be confirmed directly on Pandora's own page or Rakuten's own listing either.
Pandora was founded in 1982 by goldsmith Per Enevoldsen and his wife Winnie Liljeborg in a small jewelry shop in Copenhagen, originally under the name "Populair Smykker" ("Popular Jewellery"). The company began as an importer and wholesaler of jewelry sourced from Thailand, before its charm-bracelet concept took off around the turn of the millennium. Pandora listed on Nasdaq Copenhagen in 2010, and today operates roughly 7,000 points of sale — around 2,800 of them its own concept stores — across more than 100 countries. (Source: Pandora's own "History" page, pandoragroup.com.)
Pandora's affiliate program runs through Rakuten Advertising and is documented for markets including the US, UK and Canada, alongside a separate "Pandora MX" listing for Mexico via FlexOffers, plus further merchant listings on Skimlinks/Sovrn Commerce and VigLink. Rakuten's own featured-merchant write-up of the program mentions "competitive commission rates" and performance-based incentives for acquiring new customers, but does not state an exact percentage. Sign-up runs through Rakuten's platform, with approval typically taking 24-48 hours according to third-party descriptions of the application process.
The most notable finding in this research is what's missing: a lookup on affi.io — the directory of Adtraction's and Partner-ads's programs already used as a source in the Academy's Matas, Saxo.com, Coolshop.dk, Elgiganten and JYSK articles — shows no Danish, Swedish, Norwegian or Finnish Pandora listing at all. The only nearby European programs that surfaced were a closed TradeTracker program in Poland and an open Awin program in the Czech Republic. That doesn't necessarily mean a Danish program has never existed or never will — but it does mean a Danish creator today can't find a self-serve, Denmark-specific entry point to Pandora's affiliate program through the two networks that otherwise cover most of the other Danish retailer programs on the Academy.
Pandora's own group site has a dedicated "Social Media & Influencer" contact page (pandoragroup.com), but it describes only a general contact route — no self-serve application page, no published terms. A Danish creator looking to work with Pandora is therefore effectively left with either Rakuten's global, non-Denmark-specific program, or reaching out directly to negotiate an individual deal — a model closer to Airbnb's Creators program than to Matas's or Coolshop's open network sign-up.
Different third-party directories of Pandora's Rakuten program cite mutually conflicting rates: some state 2% per sale, others 5-8%, and a few 5-10%, with a cookie window most commonly cited as 30 days. None of these figures could be confirmed directly on Pandora's own page or Rakuten's own program listing in this research — they all come from secondary affiliate directories and comparison sites, not a primary source. Per the Academy's evidence policy, this article reports the spread as unresolved rather than picking or averaging a number — see how to evaluate whether a retailer's affiliate program is worth a creator's time for the five-point checklist this article's own findings are measured against.
| Source (type) | Rate stated | Confirmed directly? |
|---|---|---|
| Rakuten featured-merchant write-up (the network's own page) | Not stated ("competitive") | Partially — the page is primary, but gives no figure |
| Third-party affiliate directories (multiple) | 2% to 10%, spread across sources | No — secondary, mutually conflicting |
| affi.io (Danish/Nordic lookup) | No Danish/Nordic program found | Yes — a negative finding, direct from the directory |
Pandora also runs "My Pandora," a free customer loyalty program where members earn points and unlock exclusive perks on purchases. It's easy to confuse with a creator or affiliate program because the name is similar, but My Pandora has nothing to do with commission, tracking links or creator collaboration — it's an ordinary customer club, the same category as any retail loyalty program, and it differs from the affiliate program in exactly the same way IKEA Family differs from an affiliate arrangement.
IF you're an international creator with access to Rakuten Advertising and your audience is mainly in the US, UK or Canada → Pandora's confirmed Rakuten program is a real option, but confirm the current rate yourself before building content around it.
IF your audience is Danish and you're looking for a self-serve, trackable affiliate link → there is no confirmed Danish Pandora program to sign up for today; consider one of the confirmed Danish retailer programs already covered on the Academy instead (Matas, Saxo.com, Coolshop.dk).
IF you already have a relationship with Pandora, or want a larger, briefed collaboration → contact Pandora's "Social Media & Influencer" route directly, rather than looking for a self-serve sign-up page that doesn't exist for the Danish market.
The numbers below are hypothetical and for illustration only — not confirmed Pandora figures, and not data from a Make Influence customer.
Imagine a creator's followers place a DKK 1,200 order for a Pandora bracelet through an affiliate link. At the lowest rate reported in this article's research, 2%, the commission would be DKK 1,200 × 0.02 = DKK 24. At the highest rate reported, 8%, the same order would pay DKK 1,200 × 0.08 = DKK 96 — four times as much. That gap is exactly why this article doesn't repeat a single, unconfirmed figure as fact: a creator planning their time around the wrong number in that range could be off on their real earnings by a factor of four.
Make Influence doesn't recommend an affiliate program to a Danish creator before the real, current rate is confirmed directly with the brand or network — exactly the position Pandora's Danish coverage is in right now. Our experience is that an unconfirmed figure from a third-party directory is a worse starting point for a creator conversation than clearly saying the number isn't confirmed yet.
Not confirmed. A lookup on affi.io — the directory of Adtraction's and Partner-ads's programs — showed no Danish, Swedish, Norwegian or Finnish Pandora listing at the time of this research.
Unresolved. Third-party sources cite anywhere from 2% to 10%, and none of the figures could be confirmed directly on Pandora's own page or Rakuten's own listing in this research.
No. My Pandora is a free customer loyalty program with points and perks for shoppers — it has nothing to do with affiliate tracking, commission or creator collaboration.
Through Pandora's group site, which has a dedicated "Social Media & Influencer" contact route — but no published, self-serve application process or confirmed terms.
The confirmed global Rakuten program is an ordinary, application-based network sign-up, with approval typically within 24-48 hours. There's no confirmed Danish program to categorize. See open vs application-only affiliate programs for the full comparison.
Differently, and in Pandora's disfavor: unlike Pandora, LEGO has a confirmed, active Danish-market affiliate program ("LEGO DK") with a commission rate verified directly on the network's own page — the rare case in this article series where the Danish market actually is confirmed covered.
Similar: like Pandora, IKEA has confirmed affiliate programs in other countries but no confirmed Danish one. The difference is that IKEA's nearest confirmed programs (Norway and Sweden) run on Adtraction, the same network that already covers the Danish market broadly — which isn't the case for Pandora's Rakuten-based program.
